Biography
Maria P. Heim is an associate professor in the Graduate Division of General & Special Education, and the chairperson of the Counseling Program at the Graduate School of Education. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from CW Post College of Long Island University, and a Master of Science and Ph.D. from St. Johns University. Her clinical experience includes working as a school psychologist at the BOCES Program for Alternative Comprehensive Education and at her private practice in Queens, N.Y. as well as supervising doctoral students. Dr. Heim has a long history of teaching at the university level, including graduate courses and seminars at Brooklyn College and the College of St. Rose.
