Project Manager (Consultant), After School Professional Development Program

The project manager will be an integral part of the ASPDP team. Tasks will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage proposal review and course observations for a professional development program that reviews 200+ proposals three times annually
    • Establish timelines and milestones to ensure deadlines are met
    • Develop and implement regular reporting schedule
    • Escalate issues and make appropriate recommendations
  • Manage multiple Excel tracking systems; must be comfortable with intermediate analytics functions (e.g. vlookups, mail merges)
  • Frequent communication with course reviewers and external partners, including cultural institutions and community-based partners
  • Implement technology updates for proposal review website; manage relationship with vendor

• Extremely details-oriented ad well-organized, with the ability to meet frequent and changing deadlines
• Flexibility and eagerness to learn new processes
• Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and anticipate issues needing resolution
• Ability to thrive in and enjoy working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; precision in communication and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and diverse constituencies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, e.g., PowerPoint and Word; advanced in Excel
• Facility with website management; ability to learn new systems quickly
• Preferred: Experience or working knowledge of the public sector and/or interest in public education

We are looking for a candidate who can commit to roughly 35 hours per week ($25/hour), though there is room for flexibility in scheduling. Please note that this is a consultant position through School Professionals and is paid hourly and does not include health benefits.
