Biography

Mary P. Esposito, Ph.D. professional background encompasses more than 27 years within the New York City Department of Education as a Reading Coach, Literacy Staff Developer, Mathematics Coordinator and teacher of grades one, three, five and six. Dr. Esposito completed her doctorate as Doctor of Philosophy in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction. Dr. Esposito is a full-time Associate Professor in Touro College Graduate Literacy Department.  She has experience as a Practicum Adviser and has taught Education 667, 619, 618, 665, 609, 605 and 677 face-to-face and is currently teaching online courses. Dr. Esposito has a true passion for literacy focused on improvement of effective instructional performance by focusing on metacognitive processes.
